LifePrep Academy™ Workshops

The LifePrep Academy™ curriculum empowers parents and families to prepare their children for college, careers and life after high school. Our resources and workshops are vital due to the current statewide average student-to-counselor ratio of over 800 students per counselor.

Through our customized workshops, 8th - 12th grade students and their families receive a LifePrep Academy: College, Career and Life Planning Guide and training on:

  • How to use technology to help their children do their K-12 homework and research,
  • The benefits of planning early and their rights as parents in California,
  • How to evaluate and accommodate your child’s learning style,
  • All of the requirements and classes necessary to qualify for UC and CSU level study,
  • The value of AP, Honors, concurrent classes and community service,
  • How to finance a college education through 529 savings plans, scholarships, grants and loans,
  • How to choose the correct college and major to fit your child’s career choices,
  • Ways to make college affordable for all families,
  • Numerous school-to-work, apprenticeship and internship options for students,
  • Community based programs and resources designed to help students succeed, and more.
