Welcome & History

On behalf of our distinguished board, our partners and supporters, it is my pleasure to welcome you to Educate California.

It amazes me how this project has grown from bookmarking a few good websites to help my sons do their homework – to creating a database of high quality sites to help prepare them for college and careers – to reviewing more than 25,000 sites and selecting 2,500 of the best for empowering families. Learn more about why I started Educate California.

Our mission is to ensure that all California foster and kinship care youth GRADUATE prepared for life after high school.

This website provides streamlined access to thousands of education related resources that enable families and caregivers to proactively support their children's education, while preparing them for college and careers. We provide an extremely effective way for parents to save themselves and their children countless hours on search engines, looking for high quality, interactive and engaging resources.

Students of all ages are encouraged to utilize the hundreds of available dictionaries, maps, almanacs, encyclopedias and essential K-12 resources featured. There are sites that explain every course needed from 6th grade through 12th, what high school classes to take and when, the college application process, how to choose the right major, plus detailed information on scholarships, grants and loans.

View our 25 Favorite Sites, Homework Help and College Prep websites, Scholarship Directory and more listed under the RESOURCES tab above.

Thank you for visiting, please come back often.
